Our client has embarked on a strategic programme to implement a single ERP solution based on Oracle ERP Cloud, replacing the 3 different ERPs currently in use across its various geographic business units. Oracle Cloud is now live across a number of different business units and the programme is about to enter a new phase which will see Oracle Cloud go live across some of the largest and strategically important business units. This phase also sees the project move to a fixed price delivery model with a new integrator.
As a result of this change, customer is now seeking to strengthen the Governance team and are looking to onboard a Transition and Cutover Manager who will ensure the smooth transition/cutover of the next wave of entities to the ERP Cloud.
The main role of the Transition & Cutover Manager will be to ensure that each entity is fully prepared for the transition and that the cutover is performed with minimum business impact and in accordance with a well-defined and rehearsed plan. This will include, but not be limited to:
- Creating and a detailed transition plan for each cutover-activity, ensuring local plans are fully aligned with the overall plan, in coordination with the main staekeholders.
- Working closely with the change team and the local business implementation managers to ensure that the entities have fully developed and resourced transformation/transition plans and business continuity plans to address the major issues and risks associated with this transition.
- Providing the Governance Team and wider programme team with regular reporting on the status and health of the cutover plans.
- Identifying and maintaining the transition issues and risks within the programme issues and risks register.
- Working in close collaboration with the testing teams to ensure that the impact of any defects remaining at the end of UAT are fully understood by the business teams and appropriate mitigation activities are contained in the business continuity plans.
- Working in close collaboration with the data migration team to ensure that the business teams are fully aligned with and resources for the data migration and validation steps pre-go live.
- Execute the During the cutover phase to run a daily or as necessary cutover meeting with the key stakeholders and maintain the issues and actions registers.
- Provide post implementation support to address any remaining issues from the cutover.
