Job purpose:
We are looking for an Azure Data Platform support engineer to ensure that data workloads are properly executed in a timeous and satisfactory manner.
In this role, your duties will include resolving problems via our IT service management solution, escalating serious issues to the Data platform development team, and to be a force of proposal in order to improve the practices.
Job scope:
Azure data platform support engineer will drive the release and delivery involving several technologies with respect to AGILE principles, to ensure delivery activities are under control and to support communication & coordination with the various teams involved.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize new releases
- Monitor the support channels for questions and issues raised by the users of the Data Platform
- Diagnose and triage the user reported issues through self -learning and leveraging platform teams as appropriate
- Identify inefficiencies in our support processes, tooling, documentation and training; further work with platform teams to remediate the findings
- Help design and build tools to simplify and improve the platform user experience
- Bi-weekly compliance review meetings of ongoing projects
- Review and approve the quality of deployment for production release
- Continuous enhancement of release pipelines (CI/CD)
Requirements:
- A Prior experience supporting data platforms built using Microsoft Azure technologies (incl. Synapse/Data Factory, ADLS Gen 2, Serverless, Spark, Azure Databricks, Azure APIM)
- Expertise in Azure DevOps automation tools like Pipelines and experience in deploying applications to at least one of the major public cloud provider such Azure, AWS, GCP
- Experience of ETL technical design, automated data quality testing, QA and documentation, data warehousing, data modelling and data wrangling
- Skill in effectively and efficiently troubleshooting technical bugs in software and platforms
- Ability to regularly learn and adopt new technology
- Willing to test and innovate initiative
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Customer oriented, quality minded and proactive approach on all issues
- Proven analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Team player and process-oriented spirit
Nice to have:
- IT Infrastructures project experience
- Technical delivery background on Business Intelligence constructions
- Technology enthusiasm, quick learner
- ITIL v3 processes certification or seasoned experience
